2 Peas in a Pod
So, it’s Little House on the Prairie in these parts. A couple of weeks ago, we decided that it was time to move Lia out of the crib and into a full bed with Vivienne. So far, they literally squeal with joy to cuddle up together. It’s truly priceless. And to peek in on them once they’re adventuring in Never Never Land is one of those heart-stopping moments that a parent never never forgets. (I know that you probably would love to see such a treasure, but there is no way I’m risking it to snap a photo while they’re sound asleep.)
I realized, though, that it mustn’t be all bliss when Viv showed me this comic recorded in her little notebook. “This is called “NOVIVI” because that’s what Lia says when we are laying in bed and I give her the boot!’”

Too cute! I am a mom of 2 little girls 12 months apart ages 1 & 1/2 and 2 & 1/2. They share a room but if we put them down at the same time they talk in there for upwards of an hour and the little one ends up crying because she wants to go to sleep and the older won’t let her. Did you guys go through a stage like this? How do you keep them from keeping each other up? We’d love to be able to put them down at the same time! Thanks, Brooke

L,
I slept in the same bed with my sis until I was 7, she was 3. Wonderful experience, wonderful memories (even when I woke with wet pj’s due to her…well, accidents.)
Fun! Loved the NOVIVI!

I sat with 2 sisters one day, both in their eighties, as they said good-bye to one another. They laughed and talked about the years they spent sharing a room and a bed. They remained always as close as two peas in a pod!
