Inspired by the photo of a far better fruit tree that I tore out of a magazine, this was my first “go” at a holiday breakfast fruit tree. A pineapple provides the base and slices of mangoes make the stars. Next time, I’ll splurge and buy 6-inch skewers, as my 12-inchers had to be pushed all the way through the pineapple and really didn’t make any sense since we couldn’t pull out the whole skewer, fruit and all. Besides, 6-inchers would have helped to make it more the shape of… well, a tree. So, we’ll call this our Charlie Brown Fruit Tree and hope for a tradition!
