It’s Fire Safety Week!

Below, Officer Rusty showed the children how a fire fighter is a friendly person underneath all of that equipment. Notice, though, that Lia is no longer in the picture. With each additional piece of equipment that the Officer put on, Lia took a few more steps back towards me. Once he pulled that mask over his face, she was in my arms. But it gave me the chance to whisper, “Wow! Look! He’s being a hero!”
