If an 8 year old needs to get somewhere, she’ll run there.
If a 10 year old is walking down the street, he’ll jump on and off of curbs, rebound off of fire hydrants, and hang from imposing flag poles.

I found our outlet: Parkour.
Parkour is the art of training the body’s natural movements so that it can travel efficiently and quickly from one point to another. In other words, if the picnic table is in your way, you leap over it; if climbing the building would be a quicker route, you get climbing!
If I didn’t have 3 people to love and care for + potentially highly suspicious neighbors, I’d be all over this sport! What could be better? It combines practicality, speed, and contact.
