I meant “Prairie Dog”!

I’ve been trying to pinpoint the animal that Lia reminds me of when she holds herself straight up in my arms, looking intently at the world over my shoulder. I finally figured out which animal it is! For days, I’ve been telling people that Lia reminds me of a “groundhog” and have been wondering why they look at me like, “riiight, a groundhog…” I realized yesterday that, although I was saying “groundhog”, I meant “prairie dog”. I can see why people were confused and maybe even concerned. (The biggest difference? Groundhogs are decidedly not cute; prairie dogs are adorable.) Oops. Now do you see what I mean? I think she’s the cutest little one around!
