The way we respond to our children in their moments of distress could impact them for eternity. Just think: our help could teach them to expect God’s help. Our comfort could warm their hearts to receive God’s comfort. Our smiles could open their eyes to look for God’s smile. Even though we’re only human and we mess up aplenty (I do, anyway), God works through us to reach our children’s hearts.
I know the power of a mom’s influence personally. One summer day at the swimming pool, my mom came to my rescue in such a way as to give me a tangible picture of God reaching down to rescue humanity through Jesus. I can’t wait for you to hear the whole story!
Listen to “Save Me From Sinking“
“Save Me from Sinking” is the latest episode of Expect Something Beautiful. Just click on the picture of our baby enjoying her first summer in the backyard “pool”. (Her expression! Priceless.)

Listen to “The Double Stroller at a Tech Conference“
While we’re on the topic of swimming, I want to recommend this episode about our family trip to a tech conference that just happened to be hosted at an indoor waterpark. (So fun! So exhausting!) To hear “The Double Stroller at a Tech Conference” just click on the waterslide below.

Expect Something Beautiful is a production of Revive Our Hearts. I’m delighted to work with their skilled team. Isn’t the sound design so fun?!
