Teachable Tuesday: White as Snow

What a fun week talking about snow!

To top off our snow unit, God sent about 6 inches our way on Saturday!

We didn’t do anything fancy; just the good old snowmen projects. Vivienne learned how to draw a snowflake, read the word “snow” (and “mow”, “bow”, “low”…), and Lia learned to point up to the heavens when we ask her, “Who made the snow?” God did! (Lia also learned that gluing cotton balls onto a blue paper is decidedly *not* as fun as eating them. She was deeply confused over her first real art project.)

My favorite snow moment? When Vivienne and I were walking back up the sledding hill. The snowflakes were still falling all around; the neighborhood was quiet except for our footsteps. The snow may melt away, but our tiny discussion about God’s forgiveness falling on us like snow, will last forever.

“Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah 1:18

Teachable Tuesday is designed to share teaching ideas that specifically connect a child’s heart with God’s. What are you teaching this week?
