Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

2 Corinthians 5: 16 – 17

I’ve always loved applying this truth to my life.  The glory of remembering that I am a new creation in Christ!

But lately, I’m struck by the fact that Paul actually seems to be other-focused in this particular passage… as if we are to apply this truth to how we view other people – not just ourselves.

How mind-blowing to apply this perspective to others, remembering that anyone in Christ is a new creation, the old things have passed away and all things have become new.

May our minds be so renewed by this reality that we no longer regard others according to the flesh.

My, how this changes everything…
